Life Care Planning – The following definition of a life care plan was adopted in 1998 by the International Conference on Life Care Planning and the International Academy of Life Care Planners:
"The life care plan is a dynamic document based upon published standards of practice, comprehensive assessment, data analysis, and research, which provides an organized, concise plan for current and future needs with associated costs for individuals who have experienced catastrophic injury or have chronic health care needs.”
Medical Cost Projections – A Medical Cost Projection is a process of reviewing medical records , contacting treating physicians, evaluating and analyzing paterns of care in the medicals and anticipating outcomes, and identifying the costs for future care. This service can be used as a consulting service or report for expert witness services. This not-so-detailed service may also assist with setting reserves and planning for settlement. A Life Care Plan is a better option for a more comprehensive view of medical and future care.
Vocational Consulting – Services under this umbrella are automatically considered in Life Care Planning services to evaluate the vocational and earning capacity of an individual being evaluated for services. This is also a stand-alone product that can be used in personal injury, workers compensation, family law/divorce (alimony/spousal support), wrongful death, and other litgated cases that have a vocational on an individuals ability to work.
